ParksPort Crescent State Park
This park has a campground and a day-use area. The campground is located about 5 miles southwest of Port Austin. There are two toilet and shower buildings, 137 campsites with electric hook-up, fire ring, and picnic table, a mini cabin, a playground for kids, a swim beach, and access to hiking trails. There is no boat launch at the campground. Sleeper State Park
Near Caseville, this park offers 226 campsites for recreational vehicles and tent campers and trailers. Sanilac Petroglyphs Historic State Park
This is the only-known location in the lower peninsula of Michigan of pre-Columbian Native American rock carvings. The site also features a 1-mile walking trail. The park is located 4 miles east of M-53 on Bay city-Forestville Road and 1 milesouth on Germania Road. Brown Park This is a state highway rest area located about 2 miles south of Bay Port, along M-25. The area is for day use only and features grills, picnic tables and outdoor toilet facilities.
Jenks Park Bad Axe City Park is located at 210 S. Hanselman St. It includes baseball and softball fields, basketball courts, playground equipment, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, in-line hockey rink, picnic area and a pavilion which may be reserved for a fee by calling (989) 269-2630. Wilcox Community Park This park is located at 650 Whitelam St. in Bad Axe. It includes sandy volleyball court, picnic areas, playground equipment, pavilion and Wilcox Community Center which may be reserved or booked for a fee. Seating capacity of 100. Call (989) 269-2630 for more information. Bird Creek Park This park is a day-use area, 7-acre park located just east of the Port Austin Harbor. It features a large sandy beach, 1/4 mile boardwalk, pavilion, fishing, basketball, horseshoe facilities, playground, restroom and shower facilities. During busy summer weekends a concession rents all types of water toys, floats, paddle boats, or water cycles. Pavilion rental is $60. Caseville County Park
This park is located near the north edge of the village. The 40-acre park features 65 water and electric sites, 67 full hook-up and 72 mobile camping sites. It features a large sandy beach and picnic grounds, plus picnic shelter, pavilion and playground. The large, active public beach has a bathhouse, breakwall, shelters, running water and picnicking facilities. Tent camping is permitted in designated areas. Baywatch Park Center offers half court basketball, shuffleboard, gameroom, gift shops, snack bar and volleyball nets. Lighthouse County Park
This park boasts one of the area's most picturesque lighthouses and is located 9 miles east of Port Austin, on the eastern shore of Huron County between Port Hope and Port Austin. The lighthouse, which is a popular subject of artists and photographers, has become a museum. McGraw Park McGraw Park is a 7-acre day-use area. Oak Beach County Park is a 46-acre county park with 55 campsites of modern and tent camping between Port Austin and Caseville on M-25. Restroom facilities and pavilions for picnics are available. Swimming, picnic grounds, playgrounds, fishing, and camping also are offered at this nice beach. Pavilion rental is $60. Philp Park Philp Park, a day-use area, offers 2 acres of swimming and picnicking along M-25, between Caseville and Oak Beach. For more information, call (989) 269-6404. Sebewaing County Park
Sebewaing County Park is a 20-acre park located on the northwest side of the Sebewaing village limits. It offers 64 camping sites, electricity, running water, bathrooms, showers and shoreline fishing. Tent camping is permitted and a two-bedroom lodge is available. Lodge rates are $60 daily with a minimum three-day stay, $400 weekly, $900 monthly, $2,000 50-day waterfowl rate, and $4,600 season rate. Stafford County Park This is a 38-acre park in the village of Port Hope. It has boat launching facilities, picnic areas, restrooms, playground, ball diamond, tennis courts, a beach and 73 campsites. Wagener County Park is a 132-acre park located 5 1/2 miles south of Harbor Beach on M-25 with 105 campsites for modern and tent camping, as well as eight camper cabins. Camper cabin rates are $50 daily, minimum two-night stay, mnimum three-night stay on holiday weekends; and weekly rate of $250. It has shower and restroom facilities. The park has launch facilities, a picnic area and a playground. The park also features a 1-2 mile wooded hiking trail. Pavilion rental is $60. Bathing Beach Park Is located at the east end of Trescott Street in Harbor Beach. Facilities include sandy beach, restrooms, concessions, playground, picnic area, and 1,015 foot long Trescott Pier. Davidson Park Davidson Park is located off Court Street, east of M-25 in Harbor Beach. Facilities include picnic area, playground, pavilion, tennis and basketball courts and restrooms. North Park
Is 142 acres of wooded campsites and nature trails with 194 sites. It is located 2 mile north of Harbor Beach (Hruon Avenue). Facilities include sewer, water, electric, modern restrooms, showers, cable TV on 64 sites, dump station, easy walking and biking to shopping and dining via community bike path, playground, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, picnic area and pavilion, Bruce Johnson softball fields, and children's summer recreation program. Waterworks Park This park is adjacent to Harbor Beach Municipal Marina. Facilities include picnic area, playground, and pavilions. |
